Daichi paused at the door, his hand pausing before he knocked on it. His relationship with Hilary was getting more and more confusing each day and he had to talk to some one. He had considered talking to some one on his team but he hadn't been able to get a hold of any of them so he had decided to see if Salima was home, remembering that Hilary had mentioned that they were friends.
Salima swore lightly under her breath as she opened the door, kicking something off her foot and looking as if she were about to fall over. Her eyes widened and she smiled sheepishly, realizing how silly she must look. She finished tying her hair up, which was what she had been doing previously before greeting Daichi. "Hi. Who're ya here for? Me Enrique or Zeo?" she asked.
"Uh hi, I'm here for you," Daichi said as he glanced down, a bit embarrassed at the fact that he had never really dealt with girls at all and was a bit confused over what to do.
"Oh." she said clearly surprised, they had never really talked before. "Um...what can I do for you?" she asked inviting him in and closing the door behind them and then writing a note on the counter We have a guest over,
Daichi shifted from foot to foot, a bit uncomfortable as he stood there. "I need to talk to you, about Hilary," he finally said.
Salima raised an eyebrow at him. "Okay...." she said kind of hesitantly and motioned for him to follow her. As they entered her and Zeo's room she motioned to the opposite bed and pulled her feet underneath her, prepared to listen. "About?"
"I... I keep on making mistakes. I don't know what way I'm supposed to act." He sighed as he shook his head. "I need to know more about her. If I knew how she wanted me to be I'd do it but I don't know how!"
Salima looked at him. "So...you want relationship help?” She asked slowly.
"Yes," Daichi stared at the ground, his face turning red.
"Well..." she said raking her hands threw her ponytail, "I don't think I'm the best one to be giving such advice as I'm having difficulty with my relationship as well," she said uncertainly and looking at the door where she knew outside it, somewhere in the house her boyfriend would be.
Daichi nodded his head. "Okay, I guess I'll have to talk to some one else. I just figured since you knew her best..." Daichi trailed off a bit.
Salima sighed, clearly tired. Why did everyone always come to her for advice when clearly she was the worst candidate? "Nevermind...fine, fine, I'll help but what do you want to know...anything specific?"
Daichi kept his eyes trained on the floor, wondering why Salima was so negative about this. "I just need to know how to make her happy," Daichi said as he looked up, his emerald eyes trained on her.
"Well...that's blunt...um...why do you think she isn't happy?"
"Almost anything I say, she gets mad at me," Daichi raked a hand through his wild hair. I don't know what I shouldn't talk about."
Salima shifted, thinking. "Well, she can't be getting mad at everything or you wouldn't be going out, would you? And well I guess, obviously, until she gets a grip on them, keep away from her sore spots."
Daichi nodded his head. He knew not to talk about her father or blow up at her but the one time he had asked if she was embarrassed of him, why had she become so angry with him? He didn't understand.
"Well...tell me about one time, then, I guess is where to start." she said unsure.
Daichi blinked for a moment and then he sighed. "Well, there was one time we were out for pizza and I asked if she was embarrassed of me. She really clamed up and got mad."
Salima couldn't help but snicker a little; boys were on a totally different planet it seemed. "Easy, she was offended."
“Offended? It was just a question, how could she get offended by a question?"
Salima got serious. "You asked her if she was embarrassed of you. Now if it was something like 'why do you wear so much pink?' I would think she was a bit insane for flipping out but it's perfectly understandable to flip at that." she said picking up a stuffed animal and turning it in her hands.
Daichi was still confused. It was just a simple question. He didn't know any guy that would flip out at a question like that. He was starting to think more and more that women were another species altogether.
Salima laughed at his confused face. "I guess you'll just have to learn do's and don’ts," she said shrugging.
Daichi let his head fall into his hands. "How do I learn that?"
Salima shrugged again, "I guess just observe," then she looked up and grinned, "and hoard her best girlfriend for answers."
Daichi grinned broadly. "I think I'd rather just get the answers."
Salima laughed and got up, putting the stuffed animal in the closet. "Well...I don't know. She probably won't say much as emotions go, you just have to figure out what they mean by body language.
Daichi audibly groaned. Dating girls was just so confusing and about to get more so and to make things worse he didn't know a single person who also dated girls.
Salima laughed. "Maybe you should just go gay," she said as if reading his mind. "And if it makes you feel any better, girls get just as confused. Guys are just so difficult and weird sometimes," she said sighing.
Daichi gave her a mock dirty look. "I tried that once. Couldn't get the guy I was after to even look my way," he grinned and shook his head. "Was still trying when I realized I was just trying to cover up for something, seems I really like Hilary all along just didn't know it."
Salima made a sappy face, "Aww, that's so sweet,"
Daichi stuck his tongue out at the girl. He didn't like being teased.
Salima laughed at him. So immature.
Daichi sighed crossing his arms as he pouted slightly. Well at least he could make some one laugh.
"Oh lighten up. ...anything else?"
"Nope," Daichi grinned, feeling a lot surer of himself as he stood up.
"Oh..."she said falling on her bed again, "just watch out for her mask too," she said as a closing note.
"Mask?" Daichi asked as he turned back towards Salima. "Like when she acts like everything's alright but you know better than that?"
"Mhm," she said nodding, "She's been using it a lot lately, she's getting better at it too."
"Yeah," Daichi nodded his head. "I've seen it," he nodded his head. Like just recently when she had insisted that she was fine.
Salima nodded, glad that he understood. It was sad really, how much her and Hilary were the same. She used it frequently as well....
"Well, uh thanks," Daichi said as he grinned at Salima.
"Mhm... Bye!" she said smiling and leading him to the door.
Daichi left, walking outside the door.
